Pre-Departure Guidelines

I. Travel Reminders

  • Group Size: Minimum 18 participants. A tour leader from Taiwan accompanies the group.

  • Meals: Overseas meals may be less varied. Bring instant food (e.g., noodles, canned goods) as backup.

  • Single Travelers: Standard rooms are twin-share. Same-gender pairing applies; single occupancy not guaranteed.

  • Room Requests: Special requests (e.g., connecting rooms, corner rooms) subject to availability at check-in.

  • Passports & Permits: ROC passport and valid Mainland Travel Permit (Tai Bao Zheng) required. Dual nationals/foreign passport holders should confirm regulations in advance.

  • Itinerary: Order may be adjusted for local conditions. Safety and smooth travel are the priority.

  • Group Travel: Follow assembly times and stay with the group. Independent travel mid-tour is not permitted.

  • Tickets: Group admission tickets are included; no senior/child discounts or refunds.

  • Culture: Respect local customs and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Prohibited Items: Weapons, knives, fruits, meat products, and solicitation of prostitution are strictly forbidden. Avoid political discussions.

II. Flights & Baggage

  • Arrive 2–3 hours before departure for check-in.

  • Checked baggage: Most airlines allow 1 piece, max 23 kg (domestic China: 20 kg). Carry-on: 1 piece, max 5 kg.

  • Seating: Assigned by airline, often alphabetically. Companion seating cannot be guaranteed.

  • Manage duty-free shopping time carefully after customs.

III. Accommodation

  • Hotels may be substituted with same-standard alternatives.

  • Rooms: Twin-share standard. Double or extra beds subject to availability.

  • Amenities: Many hotels in China no longer provide disposable items (e.g., toothbrush, slippers). Bring your own.

  • Rules: No smoking in rooms, misuse of kettles, or unsafe electrical use. Minibar items are chargeable.

IV. Safety Tips

  • Follow tour leader’s instructions. Inform the group if leaving during free time.

  • Health: Avoid high-risk activities if pregnant or with chronic conditions.

  • Valuables: Keep cash, passports, and valuables on you; avoid displaying large amounts of cash.

  • Medication: Bring personal medicines with prescriptions if required.

  • Water Safety: Always wear life jackets when boating or swimming.
