Food & Dining

Q1. Is pork avoided in Xinjiang?
A1. People in Xinjiang can eat pork — the restriction comes from religious practices: many local residents are Muslim, so they don’t eat pork. Xinjiang dishes typically feature naan, chicken, beef, or lamb; but considering Taiwanese dietary preferences, our agency mixes local-specialty meals with some Han-style dishes.

Q2. What is the weather like in Xinjiang and how should I dress?
A2. We don’t use large-group “set-meal” restaurants. Instead, we select local specialty restaurants so travelers can taste authentic Xinjiang flavors. We also include special meals such as whole-roasted lamb feasts.

Q3. will travelers need to carry their luggage off the train every day during tour?
A3. If you are vegetarian (or lacto-ovo vegetarian) or have food allergies, please inform us when you register. We will ensure that each meal offers options to meet your dietary needs, so all guests are well accommodated.
