Gandantegchinlen Monastery
The largest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, formally named "Ganden Tegchinlen" (meaning "Great Place of Complete Joy"). Its history dates back to 1809 when the first prayer hall was built. The complex gradually expanded, and by 1838, under the Third Jebtsundamba Khutuktu, it had evolved into a significant monastic center. The surrounding area developed into residential and commercial districts, making it one of the most vibrant locales in Mongolia.

Bogd Khan Palace Museum
Built in 1903 for Mongolia's Eighth Jebtsundamba Khutuktu, this winter palace features Chinese-inspired temple architecture with multilingual inscriptions (Tibetan, Mongolian, Manchu, Chinese). Its collection includes ancient thangkas, Buddhist statues, and ritual artifacts—all over 100 years old.

State Department Store
A decades-old landmark spanning five floors, equipped with escalators and elevators. The first floor features cosmetics and a large supermarket offering diverse dairy and meat products, alongside a currency exchange counter. -
Hospitality: Accept all offerings (e.g., milk tea, dairy products like dried cheese and clotted cream) respectfully.
-
