Longdong Bay
the most famous dive site in northern Taiwan,
with calm waters inside the bay that are ideal for beginners.
The area boasts thriving coral reef ecosystems and tropical fish such as clownfish, butterflyfish, and pufferfish.
A highlight is the dive spot below Hemei Elementary School, featuring gentle slopes between 3–12 meters deep, making it a popular training site for open water courses.
Bitou Cape
Dive sites around Bitou Cape Park feature stronger currents, making them more suitable for experienced divers.
Schools of blackfish, white trevally, and barracuda are commonly seen here, while autumn offers chances to spot migrating sharks and rays.
The famous Bitou Cape Shipwreck, resting at a depth of 18 meters, is a must-visit challenge for advanced divers.


Chaojing Park
Located on the border of Keelung and New Taipei City, this is one of the most popular beginner-friendly dive sites along the Northeast Coast.
With convenient access and easy entry, it also benefits from government-placed artificial reefs that have fostered a rich and diverse marine ecosystem, earning it the nickname “Northern Taiwan’s Underwater Classroom.
