Taiwanese applying for a Mainland Travel Permit (5-year or single-entry) for the first time.
Not Eligible for Discount:

  • Previously obtained a 5-year permit but never traveled to mainland China.

  • Previously obtained a single-entry permit (including transit or on-arrival).

Eligible applicants will receive a NT$900 refund upon verification.

  • Taken within the last 6 months. 

  • Background: Plain white. 

  • Clothing: Do not wear white. 

  • Expression & Pose: Eyes looking at camera, mouth closed (no smile). UpToGo

  • Facial Features: Both ears and eyebrows must be visible; features must be clear. 

  • Accessories: No colored contacts, circle lenses, hats, masks, scarves, or jewelry.

  • Glasses: Avoid wearing them—it may reflect light and hide eye details.
